BreastScreen Queensland Sets Up Camp in Beenleigh
 A free breast cancer screening service will be available in Beenleigh for a limited time. The aim of this mobile unit is to assist women at the northern end of the Fadden electorate take advantage of the service which they may normally find difficult to access.
BreastScreen's Mobile Breast Screening Unit will be available from 26 August until 13 October 2011 at the Beenleigh Bowls and Recreation Club carpark in Hanover Street Beenleigh.
Additional BreastScreen services are also available in Helensvale at 12 Sir John Overall Drive and in Southport on High Street (above Hot Tomato).
While it is highly recommended that women aged 50 to 69 years take advantage of this highly valuable service every two years, free screenings are available to all women aged over 40 and 70 plus. No referral is required and appointments can be made by contacting BreastScreen Queensland on 13 20 50. |
